Committee of Management
Bill Evaroa has been on the Committee of Management for Ngamanawa Incorporation since 2013. He is a New Zealand chartered accountant with a Batchelor of Commerce degree in accounting from Auckland University. He is also a member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors. Bill is currently a trustee for Ngāti Ranginui Fisheries Trust and chairman of the Rockit Orchard Limited Partnerships which were set up to fund the development of apple orchards in the Hastings area. Having a professional business background, he believes strongly in transparency and sound governance and would like to see the asset base of Ngamanawa diversify and grow to provide a regular source of income for its shareholders. At the same time ensuring we protect what has already been provided by our tupuna.
His whakapapa extends to both Pirirakau and Ngāti Hangarau, being a mokopuna of Polly Urupare Bidois and Sonny Perry Smith and eldest son of Sonia Smith and Bill Uma Evaroa. He is married to Kathryn and they have one son named Mataio.
