On the Tauranga side of the Kaimai ranges, go up Omanawa Road to the top where the tarseal turns to metal.  Go a short distance down the metal road and turn right into Mangaonui Road. Go through the locked gate and follow the road to the Lodge. If you are coming from the Waikato, McLaren Falls Road will also take to you to Omanawa Road. Turn right into Omanawa Road and follow directions as before.

Facilities include kitchen, dining area, sleeping area and ablution / laundry block. The ablution block has wheel chair access and facilities. The kitchen is equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave, crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils. The Lodge also has a washing machine, meridian wood fire, heaters, dining furniture, and a Marshall heater.

The Lodge is one building able to accommodate 40 adults. There are mattresses provided at the lodge.

Apart from stepping away from our busy lives and taking in the quiet serenity of the lodge and bush surroundings there are a few awesome activities including Kayaking (the lodge holds 12 Kayaks for use, plus life jackets), the lake is also safe to swim, particularly when its warmer in the Summer Months.

At best, there is very little if anything at the lodge. So please note that if you wish to make or receive calls and texts and connect to the internet you will be better advised to drive back up towards Omanawa Road for coverage. There are certain pockets of reception around the lodge area should you wish to discover.
